I found the new Legal & General site very clear - Eric, London

Eric Brown, who is severely disabled, found our new site easy to use and navigate.

Eric Brown, 67, is severely disabled since a car accident 22 years ago left him with no feeling in his left side. He is on the committees of Headway and the MS Society and was a senior technical officer with British Gas until he retired.

"I use the Internet practically every day, usually to get information," he says. "I find out about medicines, new drugs and their side effects. I also use it to buy clothes and computer equipment. I've booked flights and travel on the Internet and I've used it to buy car and holiday insurance and to find out about investments.

"The Internet saves people like me a lot of time. It's so much easier than having to write to people or phone them."

"It's straightforward and that's what I like."- Eric, London

Eric was particularly impressed by the clarity of instructions and the general usability of the Legal & General site.

"I found the site very clear. It goes to what you want it to go to and you know what to do next. Some sites are very unclear and I just give up on them. That means they lose my custom. People haven't got time to muck about and there is so much competition on the Internet."

"I was quite impressed by the Legal & General site. They have done a good job - it's straightforward and that's what I like."
